As Roma faced off against Sassuolo and won 3-1, Alessandro Florenzi suffered an injury to his knee towards the end of the match. Following further examinations, it was discovered that he had torn a ligament.
Thursday, Alessandro Florenzi underwent surgery in his knee. Normally, a torn ligament would keep him out for up to six months, but according to his doctor, he could be back already by end of January.
