Barcelona beats Deportivo La Coruna 4-0

Saturday afternoon, Barcelona played Deportivo La Coruna at home in a La Liga showdown and won 4-0. Rafael Alcantara scored twice, while Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi both scored a single goal.

Shortly before the break, Neymar passed a long ball to Luis Suarez, who was played completely free. Luis Suarez sent the ball into goal and increased Barcelona’s lead to 3-0, which was also the score at halftime.

Ten minutes into the second half, Lionel Messi was sent onto the pitch and it only took him three minutes to score for Barcelona. Neymar made a great pass to Lionel Messi, who kicked the ball into goal and increased Barcelona’s lead further to 4-0, which was also the final result of the match.

Before the final whistle, Laure was given a direct red card for a high elbow and sent off the pitch, which meant Deportivo La Coruna played the remainder of the match with only ten players.

With the victory today, Barcelona is currently in third place of La Liga with 16 points in eight matches, just below Sevilla in second place with 17 points also in eight matches. Real Madrid is currently in fourth place with 15 points, but only in seven matches.
