Javier Zanetti: We are 100 percent behind Frank de Boer

Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti says Frank de Boer has a difficult job, but the club is 100 percent behind their manager.

Naturally, that has caused rumours of manager Frank de Boer’s departure to flare. Nevertheless, according to Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti that is far from the truth. The club is 100 percent behind their manager, he says.

Frank de Boer was signed late in the summer. In fact, the papers were not signed until August the ninth, 11 days ahead of the Serie A season kick-off.

Frank de Boer came directly from a manager position in Ajax, with whom he won the Eresdivisie in the seasons 2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. He received the prestigious Johan Cruyff Shield in 2013.

He has previously also been the Assistant Netherlands manager as well as the youth manager in Ajax.

In his active professional career, Frank de Boer played 11 years in Ajax, where he made an appearance in 328 matches for the Eresdivisie club and scored a total of 30 goals. He also spend four years in FC Barcelona, where he made an appearance in 144 matches and scored five goals.

He also played for the Dutch national teamĀ from 1990 through 2004. He made an appearance in a total of 112 matches for the Netherlands and scored a total of 13 goals.

Frank de Boer has won several personal honours and several titles with his respective clubs.
