Karl-Heinz Rummenigge criticises major clubs for retrieving talents as young as ten years old

Bayern Munich Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge criciticses major clubs for retrieving talents as young as ten and 11 years old.

Karl-Heinz RummeniggeIn recent years, major football clubs have retrieved younger and younger talents. Bayern Munich Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge criticizes that tendency.

-We do not wish to retrieve 10-year-olds and 11-year-olds to Munich like the English do, which almost qualifies as kidnapping, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said according to dpa.

-I have moral objections against this. I feel that 14 years old is a good age to bring youth players to Bayern, Rummenigge said.

Next year, Bayern Munich will open a youth academy.
