Monaco beats Montpellier 6-2

Friday evening, Monaco faced off against Montpellier in a Ligue 1 match at Stade Louis II and won 6-2. Radamel Falcao, Kylian Mbappe-Lottin, Jemerson, Valere Germain, Thomas Lemar and Adama Traore scored for Monaco, while Ryad Boudebouz scored both of Montpellier’s goals.

MonacoFriday evening, Monaco faced off against Montpellier in a Ligue 1 showdown. Monaco is placed at the top of the Ligue 1 table, while Montpellier is in the less cheerful half of the table.

Nevertheless, Montpellier had the best start. Just ten minutes into the first half, Ryad Boudebouz sent the ball into goal and Montpellier in the lead with 0-1.

Monaco had most ball possession, but did not manage to create big chances, but about half an hour into the half, they received a penalty, which Radamel Falcao scored on and thus settled the score to 1-1, which was also the score at halftime.

Just four minutes into the second half, Kylian Mbappe-Lottin kicked the ball into goal and Monaco in the lead with 2-1.

About a quarter of an hour into the half, Montpellier received a penalty, which Ryad Boudebouz scored on and settled the score to 2-2.

Three minutes later, Jemerson sent the ball into goal and Monaco in the lead again with 3-2. Ten minutes later, Valere Germain sent the ball into goal and increased Monaco’s lead to 4-2.

Two minutes later, Thomas Lemar also wanted to get on the board and sent the ball into goal and further increased the lead to 5-2.

In the very last minutes of the match, Adama Traore sealed the deal for Monaco as he sent the ball into goal and increased the lead to 6-2, which was also the final result of the match.

With the victory today, Monaco is currently in second place of Ligue 1 with 22 points in 10 matches, just a single point below Nice in first place with 23 points, but only in nine matches.

Montpellier is currently two places and three points above the relegation line with ten points in ten matches.
