One to watch: Kasper Dolberg

As many other young Danish talents, Kasper Dolberg has been given his breakthrough in his career at the Dutch top side Ajax. Currently is the young Dane the most sort after object from the Dutch talent factory. Looking at his recent games, it is realistic that the young striker will soon be found in a much bigger league, playing for a much bigger side, but who is he, and how did he progress?kasper-dolberg

The story about Kasper Dolberg is really not anything specially, he started out very early in Denmark, playing for his local side GFG Voel, but soon he showed much promise, and was helping the older teams, whenever they needed a player. At the age of just 12, the young striker with the blond hair moved to Silkeborg IF, a team from the best division in Denmark, and soon he showed much potential once again.

It all culminated when young Dolberg, at the age of just 16 made his first game for Silkeborg IF. When ever a talented young Dane makes moves into the senior world, Ajax is always there, and with the scout who also scouted Christian Eriksen, Viktor Fischer and Zlatan, John Steen Olsen giving him the likes, it all looked bright for the young player.

In 2015, some year as he was given the debut for Silkeborg, Dolberg signed a three-year deal with the Dutch top side Ajax Amsterdam, and quickly became an important in the youth squad, impressing in the Youth League. That was something noticed by the big guys in the club, and for this season Dolberg was moved permanently in to the senior squad.

Starting the season as a reserve, Dolberg quickly became a key player, and are now likely to be one of the first palyers in the teamsheet. Scoring important goals for Ajax both in the Euro League, but also against Feyenoord in the Dutch League, Dolberg have become somewhat of a crowd favorite.

It was not expected at all, but very much deserved when Aage Hareide last week announced that the young striker had replaced Pione Sisto in the Danish national team, and will with much likelihood be given his debut for the best Danish national team in the next match.

Dolberg have went from reserve at Silkeborg to key player in Ajax, and a Danish international in just a matter of months, impressive by the young man, who have been called the new Zlatan.

Dolberg does hold some qualities, which makes him a very sort after player at the moment. The combination of speed, goals and physic is rare in some way, and given his age, he is a player the big teams still customize to their needs. He is likely to be sold for a massive amount of money this summer, should his development continue in the path it has been so far.
