Real Madrid beats Real Betis 1-6 on away

Saturday evening, Real Madrid played Real Betis on away and won 1-6. Isco scored twice, while Raphael Varane, Karim Benzema, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo each scored once. Alvaro scored Real Betis’ only goal.

isco real madridSaturday evening, Real Betis faced off against Real Madrid at home at Estadio Benito Villamarin in Sevilla. It only took Real Madrid four minutes to get in the lead.

Four minutes into the first half, Raphael Varane sent the ball into goal and Real Madrid in the lead with 0-1. About half an hour into the half, Karim Benzema sent the ball into goal and doubled Real Madrid’s lead to 0-2.

Eight minutes later, Marcelo sent the ball into goal and increased Real Madrid’s lead to 0-3. In the last minutes of the first half, Isco sent the ball into goal and thus scored his first of two goals, giving Real Madrid a 0-4 lead, which was also the score at halftime.

Ten minutes into the second half, Real Betis finally managed to score. Alvaro sent the ball into goal and reduced Real Madrid’s lead to 1-4. It was, however, a short lived joy for Real Betis as Isco sent the ball into goal a quarter of an hour into the second half, giving Real Madrid a 1-5 lead.

With about a quarter of an hour left of the match, Cristiano Ronaldo sent the ball into goal and increased Real Madrid’s lead to 1-6, which was also the final result of the match.

With the victory tonight, Real Madrid is currently in second place of La Liga with 18 points in eight matches, just below Atletico Madrid. Just below Real Madrid is Sevilla in third place, while Barcelona moved down into fourth place. Villarreal is currently in fifth place.

Real Betis is currently three places above the relegation line in 15th place with eight points in eight matches, just below Deportivo La Coruna in 14th place also with eight points in eight matches. Just below Real Betis is Espanyol with seven points in eight matches.
