Roma beats Austria Wien 2-4 on away while Astra Giurgiu and Viktoria Plzen draw 1-1

Thursday evening, Roma faced off against Austria Wien on away and won 2-4, while Astra Giurgiu and Viktoria Plzen draw 1-1 in Group E of Europa League.

Edin DzekoThursday evening, the fourth round of Europa League was played. In Group E, Roma faced off against Austria Wien on away, while Astra Giurgiu played Viktoria Plzen at home.

In Austria, Austria Wien played Roma. Just two minutes into the first half, Olarenwaju Kayode sent the ball into goal and Austria Wien in the lead with 1-0, but just two minutes later, Bruno Peres found Edin Dzeko in the box, where he kicked the ball into goal and thus settled the score to 1-1.

About a quarter of an hour later, Daniele De Rossi was quick on a rebound and sent the ball into goal and Roma in the lead with 1-2, which was also the score at halftime.

About 20 minutes into the second half, a long ball was sent down the pitch into the box to Edin Dzeko, who kicked the ball towards goal, but hit the post. He was quick on the rebound though and sent the ball into goal and increased Roma’s lead to 1-3.

About a quarter of an hour later, Radja Nainggoloan sent the ball into goal and thus increased Roma’s lead to 1-4.

With just minutes left of the match, Alexander Grünewald managed to sent the ball into goal and thus reduce the score to 2-4, which was also the final result of the match.

Astra Giurgiu faced off against Viktoria Plzen at home. About 20 minutes into the first half, Alexandru Stan sent the ball into goal and Astra Giurgiu in the lead with 1-0.

The lead would, however, only last about six minutes until Michael Krmenick sent the ball into goal and settled the score to 1-1, which was also the final result of the match.

With the results today, Roma is currently in first place of Group E with eight points in four matches, while Austria Wien is in second place with five points in four matches.
